Porsches at the Coronado Festival of Speed
October 20 - 22, 2000

Coronado Is., CA - Porsches had a great showing at the Chrysler Jeep Classic Speed Festival held on a temporary circuit at the US Navy Airstation on Coronado Island near San Diego. The result sheets show 21 Porsches ranging from a 1949 type 35 to a pair of 904s. The 356s were by far the most prolific and fared extremely well, Art Hebert's 1957 taking second place overall in the Group 4 race for 1956 - 1962 GT cars. In fact in Group 4, where 11 Porsches competed in a field of 34 cars, three Porsches finished in the top 5. Well done!

How pretty does it get? This is

And, of course, the 356 club had some fine cars
    on display throughout the weekend.

Oh yes, there were some non-Porsches at the event!

This Lola T70 MkII (Rug Cunningham,
    Porsche owner/driver) was awesome.
