Successful US Sales Start for Panamera
Number of customer deliveries on the rise again
Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, sold 1,642 cars to customers in the USA in October. This means growth of 15 percent compared to last October. Sales of the Panamera, which was launched on the US market on October 17, 2009, are off to a particularly good start. In the first two weeks after its market launch, 360 units of the four-door, four-passenger Panamera Gran Turismo were sold.

Overall, Porsche was able to increase sales in the USA for the third consecutive month. There was good news on the sales front for the mid-engine Boxster and Cayman sports cars. A total of 103 units from the Boxster line were sold to customers, which is a 29 percent increase over October 2008. Sales of the Cayman models rocketed up by 130 percent with sales of 168 units. However, deliveries of the 911 series dipped slightly by 8 percent to 539 units compared to the same period last year. And a total of 472 units of the sporty all-wheel drive Cayenne were sold. Compared to October 2008, this represents a life-cycle related decline of 32 percent.
