The 356 Issue

On The Cover

Griff Roberts of Claremont, California, bought the 1955 Porsche Speedster featured on this months cover 9 years ago. It is #997 built and has 1000 miles since its total restoration. This Speedster is in Concours condition and has taken prizes at various classic car shows including the Santa Barbara Concours.

A nut for detail, Griff has seen to it that everything is in mint condition. From the floor panels, longitudinals and battery box , to the correct transmission, engine and 16 inch wheels, this is a beautiful automobile. The striking Adriatic Blue Metallic paint is also an original/option color from Porsche and is a real show-stopper. With tan interior and black canvas top asking price is $85,000.

      • Reader Question of The Month
I own a 1962 356 cab. I've had the brakes overhauled with new wheel cylinders and shoes, drums and hardware, but am still experiencing a severe pull and I've also noticed that the rear brakes after heavy use, stick. Please keep in mind that the parking brake cables and rear brakes are new. Any suggestions?
